Here are some facts about Europe you need to know before you visit Europe first time in life. Europe name is derived from ancient Greek elements εὐρύς (eurús). Europe means wide or broad of aspect. Europe is the second  World’s smallest continent located entirely in the northern hemisphere and in the Eastern hemisphere. Europe is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and arctic ocean to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the South. Europe covers 10,180,000 km (3,930,000 s q mi), or 2% of the Earth’s surface (6.8% of land area ), making it the second-smallest continent. Europe has a total population of 747 Million. Europe’s population is equal to 9.8% of the total world’s population.

Christianity is the largest Religion in Europe with almost 76.2%  of European people considering themselves as Christians. Europe and the full western world around us are connected with Christianity and Christendom. The second most large and popular religion in Europe is Islam and only found in Eastern Europe like a few places like Turkey, the Volga-Ural region, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Albania, etc. Buddhism, Hinduism, and Judaism are minority religions. And if we talk deep about the religion of  European people there are mainly few religions in Europe that are self-described non-religious people.

The Carnival of Venice is also one of the best cultural annual festivals of Europe that is celebrated annually in Venice, Italy. This festival is so special and interesting that many people love to attend because it is a kind of festival in that you have to wear Venetian masks to follow the tradition and people across the city enjoy this festival with different masks and their costumes. Almost 3.1 million people attend this 20 days big and long festival. The reason for this festival is the military victory of the Venetian Republic over the patriarch of Aquileia in the year 1162. This festival is judged by international fashion and costume designer.

3. Glastonbury Festival | 26th June to 30 June

Glastonbury Festival is a well known best European EDM festival and is a five day festival of contemporary and performing arts that takes place in Pilton Somerset in England. Pilton Pop, Blues & Folk Festival is the first festival was done by Michael Eavis at Worthy Farm. Glastonbury festival was heavily influenced by hippie ethics and the festival movement in the late 1960s and early 1970. Some films and albums that were recorded at Glastonbury have been released, and the festival receives full extensive television and newspaper coverage. According to some of the articles, Glastonbury was attended by around 200k people.

4. La Tomatina Festival | 28 August

La Tomatina is one of the famous festivals of Europe known as the food fight festivals in which la Tomatina begins with the pelting of tomatoes. This festival is also one of my favorite festivals around these top best festivals of Europe because this festival is totally full of joy and the only thing we have to do is to pelt tomatoes isn’t that good. This festival is held in the Valencian town of Buñol, in the East of Spain 30 km from the Mediterranean, in which participants throw tomatoes and get involved in a tomato fight purely for joy and entertainment purposes.

5. Creamfields | 27 August to 30 August 2020

Creamfields is one of the best electronic music festivals celebrated in Europe and it was founded and organized by British club promoter Cream. This festival is a one-day festival and is one of the most prestigious dance festivals on the planet. This festival is first held in 1998 in Winchester, Hampshire and it got 25,000 then festival moved to Cream’s home city of Liverpool.
