So the Secret to keep your mind and body fit you must take care of your diet. Good food and a night of good sleep is the only key to stay healthy. So never be late to cook good, nutritious, and delicious food for you.

I am fond of Deserts and many Non-Veg dishes and whenever I am free I every time try to make something good for myself. So I came up with this very own blog post to tell some of my best traditional food in Europe that is even harder to choose what to eat from this list.

1. Moussaka

Moussaka is one of my favorite dishes from this top 10 best traditional food in Europe and this dish is not only the traditional food in Europe. In Greece, the national dishes are gyro, moussaka, souvlaki, margaritas, kokoretsi, and Fasolada. Moussaka is one of my favorite dishes from Greece’s national dish. Moussaka English name was borrowed from Greek mousakás (μουσακάς) and from other Balkan languages, all borrowed from Ottoman Turkish, which in turn borrοwed it from Arabic Musaqqa.In the Levant, Vegetarian Moussaka is a cooked dish made up primarily of tomatoes and eggplant, similar to Sicilian caponata, and may also include chickpeas. It may be served as a cold dish, or hot. 

 Vegan Recipe of Moussaka

  • 2 medium egg, sliced into 1/2″ rounds,
  • 2 Kosher salt 4 tbsp.  extra-virgin olive oil
  •  medium yellow onion, chopped 8-oz. baby Bellas, sliced 
  •  cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1 cup  green lentils 
  • (14.5-oz.) can diced tomatoes 
  • 2 cups of water 1tsp.  dried oregano Freshlygroundblackpepper 
  • 2 tbsp.  butter,  2 tbsp.  all-purpose flour,2 c.  milk   3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan divided   large egg yolks

Potica is one of my favorite Dessert food and its texture and making is too good even hearing of making this dish looks too delicious think when you going to eat it what will happen to you. Potica is very easy to make in your home with less equipment. Potica is the national food of Slovenian. Potica’s name derives from a Slovenian word meaning “to wrap up” or “to roll up” .It’s a rolled-up cake made with a very thin yeast dough and filled with a sweet walnut filling. You can also add chocolate to it to make it tastier according to your requirement I personally liked chocolate much.

Recipe of  Chocolate Potica

  • For Dough
  • 3 tablespoons plus 1/2 teaspoon sugar, divided
  • 2 cups plus 1/4 teaspoon all-purpose flour, divided
  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • For Filling
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For Topping
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • Sugar

 

  3. Haggis

Haggis is is a type of pudding and is made up of Sheep’s pluck (heart, liver, and lungs) and mixed with chicken or mutton and some more ingredients like onion, cayenne pepper, and other spices to make it tastier. Haggis is the national dish of Scotland and Scottish people really love to eat it on their special occasions with a cup of Wine.

  TRADITIONAL HAGGIS 

  • ox bung 
  • 1.4kg lamb’s pluck, (heart, lungs and liver) 
  • 500g of beef, or lamb trimmings or stewing steak 
  • 200g of suet 
  • 500g of oatmeal, (coarse) 

     SEASONING 

  • 2 tbsp of black pepper, ground 
  • nutmeg, finely grated 
  • 4 tbsp of coriander seeds 
  • 4 tbsp of fine sea salt 

4. Goulash

Goulash is is a soup of meat and vegetables usually seasoned with chilly peppers and other spices. You can eat Goulash with Garlic Bread also or whatever you like. It is one of the national dishes of Hungary. A traditional Hungarian Goulash is a soup or stew that is usually filled up with mutton and onions spiced with paprika.  American Goulash is very different from Hungary Goulash and which is more of a tomato, beef, and macaroni dish.

Waffles is one of my favorites. Waffles are very easy to make and during the making process the ingredients we put look more delicious and even u can’t control your feeling to taste. Waffles are originated from France, Belgium. Whenever you took a bite of Waffles you will feel a crunch and you must try waffles with Nutella, berries, and strawberries.

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder 
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar 
  • 2 eggs

   6. Pierogi

 Pierogi is one of the most popular dishes in eastern European countries and is a kind of dumplings made of dough usually filled with potatoes, ground meat, sauerkraut, cheese, or fruit. Pierogi is often served with a topping of fried onions, or sour cream.

  • ⅓ cup chopped onion 
  • 1 ½ cups sauerkraut, drained and minced

Varenyky is a very popular Ukrainian dumpling filled up with lots of ingredients such as vegetables, meat, cheese, eggs, mushrooms, and even fruit as per your taste. Varenyky very much looks like Indian most favorite and loved food named as0 “Momos”.

We can add Banista in our breakfast a good food to eat early in the morning.

Pizza is one of my favorite and popular food all over the world and people love to eat Pizza no matter what. It is round in shape and is originated from Italy. Pizza is a wheat-based dough topped with tomatoes, cheese, and often various other ingredients as per your taste.

  • ¼ cup whole wheat flour 
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour 
  • ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast 
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons salt 
  • ¼ teaspoon white sugar 
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (100 degrees F or 38 degrees C)
